Privacy Policy

Your Privacy Matters

Blurii is built with privacy at its core. We process minimal data necessary for license validation and blur functionality. All blur operations happen locally in Chrome.

What We Collect

License Information:

  • License key and device token for activation
  • Device information (browser type, version, OS) for seat management
  • Last validation timestamp

We DO NOT collect:

  • Browsing history or visited URLs
  • Page content or what you blur
  • Personal information beyond license validation
  • Analytics or tracking data

How We Use Your Data

License Validation: We validate your license every 24 hours to ensure it's active and not expired.

Seat Management: We track active devices to enforce seat limits (e.g., 5 devices per license).

Audit Logs: We log license activations, validations, and deactivations for security and support purposes.

Local Storage

Blur rules, settings, and license tokens are stored locally in Chrome using Chrome's storage API. This data may sync across your Chrome browsers if you're signed in to your Google account. Your blur rules and what you blur never leave your device or reach our servers.

Data Retention

License and device data is retained while your license is active. When you deactivate a device or your license expires, the associated device data is removed from our servers. Local blur rules remain in Chrome until you clear them or uninstall the extension.

Third-Party Services

We use secure cloud infrastructure for license storage and validation. All data is encrypted and stored in compliance with industry-standard security practices. We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Deactivate your license and remove device data at any time
  • Request deletion of your license data by contacting support
  • Export your local blur rules (stored in Chrome)
